The Performance RIDE / ProRIDE is certied for
use in aircraft both rear-facing and forward-facing.
Theaircraftseatbelt(whichisnotaLATCHsystem)
mustbeusedsinceloweranchorsarenotavailable
onairplanes.Mostairlineswillallowchildrestraintuse
ifitislabeledascertiedforuseonaircraft.Checkwiththeairline
toconrmseatingisavailableforusewithachildrestraintbefore
bookingights.Atthearmrestheightoftheaircraftseat,thechild
restraintis14.5 in (36.8 cm) wide.Usethisinformationwhentalking
withtheairlinetoensurethechildrestraintwilltinthedesignated
seatinglocation.

3.Makingsuretheseatbeltis
nottwisted,routetheseatbelt
throughtheforward-facing
beltpath,thenbuckleseatbelt.
4.Openthebeltlockoffandroute
theshouldersectionoftheseat
beltupintotheslot.
5.Whilepressingononearmrestof
thechildrestraint,removeslack
fromseatbelt.Tohelpsecurely
tightenthechildrestraint,press
downontheotherarmrestand
removeanyremainingslack
fromtheseatbelt.
Repeatasneededuntilthe
childrestraintcannotbemoved
morethanone inch (2.5 cm)in
anydirectiononthebeltpath.
6.Closethebeltlockoffover
theshoulderbeltbypressing
thearmdownontothewebbing
andclosethehandle.
7.Ifyourvehiclehasatoptether
anchor,attachandtighten
thetoptetherasshownon
page39.
